Niall Murray made his senior competitive debut for Connacht as a replacement in their 27–24 victory against Gloucester in the 2018–19 European Rugby Champions Cup. Incredibly, Murray didn't take up rugby until he was 16, but immediately made an impression at club and school level before earning a place in the Connacht Academy. Murray was one of three players profiled in the Connacht Rugby documentary "Relentless: The Connacht Way."
