Mack Hansen left the Brumbies in Canberra to move to Galway and join Connacht ahead of the 2021/22 season. His impressive start in Gaway saw him called up to the Ireland squad ahead of the 2022 Six Nations, where he was named man of the match in his first appearance against Wales and then scored one of the tries of the year away to France in Paris. Hansen was named Connacht's Player of the Year for 2022.
